This October, international art dealers Waterhouse & Dodd will be moving their main New York gallery space to the next door building on Madison Avenue. Their new 2nd floor gallery at 960 Madison boasts 22 feet of windows onto Madison Avenue and will provide a beautiful open exhibition space. Ray Waterhouse, co-owner of the business that he started with Jonathan Dodd in 1987, says "We are really looking forward to utilizing the space of this larger gallery and having the opportunity to have a more visible presence on Madison Avenue. I've been searching for the right space since I moved to New York three years ago and am delighted we now have a gallery here to equal the one in London”.

He continues “We will feature a similar exhibition program to the one we oper- ate successfully at our Albemarle Street gallery in London, with shows featuring European and American artists from the Post-Impressionist to Post-War era. But we will of course will continue to work with a select few Contemporary artists”.

The new gallery will open in early October. The inaugural exhibition will open on Thursday 23rd October and will focus on European Pop Art, predominantly featuring the works of Peter Klasen – a leader in the 1960s La Nouvelle Figuration movement in France known for his graphic canvases that juxtapose the female body with industrial machinery.

Waterhouse & Dodd are also pleased to present a new Director of their New York business, Stefany Sekara Morris. Stefany was most recently a Vice President and Senior Specialist in Christie's Impressionist and Modern Art Department, responsible for sourcing paintings, sculptures and works on paper for their inter- national auctions and private sale. She previously headed the Day Sales for the same department. She joined Christie's in 2006 from Hirschl & Adler Galleries in NewYork.
