We are pleased to present Martin Brouillette: Resilience in Color. The exhibition focuses on the Canadian artist's recent works and explores his relationship with drawing as a coping mechanism through the last bouts of the pandemic.
Here we see his translation of drawing to painting as an expressive exercise in comfort and solace. Martin begins all his works through drawing on his iPad. This is then translated to oil on canvas based on pure visual interpretation. Through this, he is able to tell his stories through jubilant colors and narrative titling. His compositions express not just their gestures, but the strokes and layering begin to venture into new territories of form-making.
The exhibition will be on display and open to the public at our 76th St. location May 26th - June 30th. For more information on the exhibiton and artist please visit our online viewing room or contact email@example.com.
