Barry Martin: Paintings from the 1970s

Waterhouse & Dodd are proud to present and exhibition of paintings by renowned British artist, Barry Martin. Martin (born in 1943) studied at Goldsmith’s College and St Martin’s in London during the 1960s and developed a practice which included painting, drawing, kinetic sculpture and performance. Our exhibition concentrates on his abstract oils produced during the 1970s which display his continued interest in light, space and time. His work can be found in many leading public collections, including the Tate Gallery, Arts Council and the Museum of Modern Art in Paris. In 2008 a major publication about his works written by Julius Bryant and titled The Tomorrow Of My Yesterday – The complete works of Barry Martin, was published. Martin lives and works in West London.
