Charles Lebon was a self-taught artist, noted principally for his Brabant landscapes and views of the Flanders coast. Although less common to the market, Lebon was also a highly accomplished still life painter. He exhibited at the Brussels Salon, at the Antwerp Salon and the Salon de la Societe Nationale des Beaux-Arts in Paris. Lebon was born in the St-Gilles area of Brussels and died in Ukkel.
