History of waterhouse & dodd

Jonathan Dodd and Ray Waterhouse started working together in 1982 and founded Waterhouse & Dodd five years later. In 1989 they opened a gallery on the first floor of 110 New Bond Street. From there they opened galleries successively in Cork Street and then in Albemarle Street in London, and in SoHo and the Upper East Side of New York. The gallery is now owned solely by Jonathan Dodd and today they are based on Savile Row in London with plans to open a new gallery in Mayfair in 2024.

Waterhouse & Dodd have exhibited at art fairs throughout the world, in Maastricht, Basel, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Hong Kong, Singapore, New York, Miami, Palm Beach, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco etc. They have staged many exhibitions from Impressionist through to Contemporary Art, and have sold paintings to some of the world’s greatest museums including the National Museum of Qatar in Doha and the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam.
