JONATHAN DODD has 33 years’ experience in the London art market. He took a Master of Arts Degree in Law and History of Art at Trinity Hall, Cambridge, specialising in British and French 19th century paintings. He joined the leading London print dealers Baynton Williams after graduating, leaving in 1982 to work with Ray Waterhouse at Galerie George and to run the second gallery. Five years later they formed Waterhouse & Dodd. While the running of the business is very much a partnership, Jonathan takes the major responsibility for the galleries in Albemarle Street and Savile Row, for the overall marketing and for the selling of paintings, including gallery exhibitions and our participation at various art fairs in Europe and the USA. He also spends much of his time on the buying of artworks of course, and has close contacts in France, Belgium and the Netherlands.
Jonathan is married to the editor of an art magazine.
