The Team

Jamie Anderson

JAMIE ANDERSON joined Waterhouse & Dodd in 1998 from the contemporary art gallery, Long & Ryle. Jamie’s primary focus is on the Modern British market and in particular finding and representing the numerous estates the gallery work with. He is also responsible for the contemporary art program and planning our extensive programme of exhibitions and art fairs in the UK. Recent exhibitions curated by Jamie include the Borough Group surveys, two major David Bomberg exhibitions and a retrospective of Wilhelmina Barns-Graham. Jamie has presented several talks at the Sotheby's Institute on collecting contemporary art and has advised numerous private clients, who were new to the art market, of the pleasures and pitfalls of collecting. He has recently been involved as an advisor to significant public galleries in the UK regarding exhibitions dedicated to the London Group, David Bomberg and the Systems Group.

Jamie graduated from Glasgow University with a degree in History of Art and Modern History, specialising in Post-War American and European art. His particular expertise lies in 20th and 21st century British art, and he deals regularly with galleries, auctions and private collections on behalf of clients.
