AUGUST MUTH, Luminesce Rain, 2020

For over 30 years August Muth has been an internationally exhibiting artist and a pioneer in the exploration of the medium of holography. In his work Muth strives to record with precision the perceptible light-space-time phenomena that is uniquely expressed through holography. As these three elements intertwine, a multi-dimensional topography of pure light is manifested, revealing a window into the elusive realm of the photon. His intent is to bring a deeper appreciation to a viewer’s experience with light, stimulating a dialogue between that which is termed ordinary and that of the extraordinary. Muth states, “Light, as we perceive it, gives us only a brief glimpse of the momentary realities in which we exist.
