Chinese/French (Born 1920)

Chu Teh Chun is one of the most famous Chinese painters, living in the West today. Elements overlap and metamorphose in Chu Teh-Chun’s work. Born in 1922 in the province of Jiangsu, Chu Teh-Chun studied at the School of Fine Arts in Hangzhou, moving to Franc in 1955. He soon exhibited his works at the ‘Salon des Réalites Nouvelles’, the showcase location for abstract art, a big success in Paris at the time. In addition an entire room was dedicated to his works at the famous Sao Paulo Two-Year Celebration in 1970.
